A Prism of Sound May 11th

Our last concert “A Prism of Sound” will conclude our season of concerts that feature light. You won’t want to miss out on our programming! 



The music featured will be a special world premiere supported and funded by the Canada Council for the Arts by Saman Shahi. Our guest artists will be the Ton Beau String Quartet.

“Fragments” is piece that explores anxieties, memories and the dream-worlds of displaced folks. I was thrilled to work with the amazing poet, Nika Khanjani who interviewed several displaced people, and turned their stories into the powerful text for this piece.” – Saman Shahi.

We acknowledge the Canada Council of the Arts for making this commission possible. 

This is an all Canadian program, and you will hear works by local composers such as Eleanor Daley, Matthew Emery, Jacqueline Teh, Carmine Lappano and Peter Togni.

Our concert will feature Saman Shahi speaking about his piece, and we will have no intermission.
