Join us on March 1st – at 7:30 pm, Church of the Redeemer for an evening of multilingual works that celebrates our diverse cultures. We are featuring a program of all living composers, from North America, the UK, and Asia. Some of our Canadian local composers (Alex Eddington, Joshua Tamayo, and Aiko Tomi) will be present that evening to speak about their music, and you will be able to meet them.
Guest cellist Samantha Yang, a student of the Glenn Gould School of music is performing three pieces with us.
As always a baking sale will occur at the end of the concert, to support the choir. Baked goods are always pre-packaged and ready to go.
The concert will be at Church of the Redeemer, which supports the local community with The Common Table Drop-In Program. This is a grassroots community effort run out of Church of the Redeemer that offers two healthy meals a day, daily toiletry supplies, basic health care services, and housing referrals. The program also provides social and creative activities, psychotherapy and support groups to those members of the community who participate. We will be accepting in-kind donations in support of The Common Table at this concert. Items in need include:
